Awards honour exceptional teens
The awards took place on Monday at Boston West Golf Centre and were organised by The Rotary Club of Boston and the Rotary Club of Boston St Botolph.
This was the third year the ceremony has taken place, honouring teenagers who have shown exceptional courage in their lives.

Hide AdStaff from schools and colleges in Boston nominate pupils to receive an award.
Winners were 18-year-old Ryan Smith from Boston College, 15-year-old Georgia Elma from Haven High Academy, brother and sister 12-year-old Ben and 14-year-old Asha Tiffen from Giles Academy, 17-year-old Amy Holmes from Peter Paine Performance Centre and Oliwia Gagala from Boston High School.
Amy Holmes described winning as ‘overwhelming’ and told The Standard she was ‘happy’ and ‘very pleased’.
Ryan Smith said he was “very happy” about his award.
On whether his friends at college knew about his award, Ryan said: “I’ve made sure I’ve told them all.”

Hide AdGeorgia Elma said: “All my friends are really supportive and so are my family.”
Organiser Kath Byrant said: “It feels wonderful, and we are so pleased that schools and colleges send in names.”
A number of guest speakers gave talks at the ceremony.
Past president of the Rotary Club of Boston St Butolph, Rotarian John Wright said in his address: “Thank you for being who you are and what you are.”
Oliwia Gagala could not attend the ceremony.
