1. 2010
Boston boxer Callum Johnson returned to his home town a hero after winning gold at the Commonwealth Games in India in 2010. Further sporting glory would follow as a professional.
2. 2011
An explosion at an illegal vodka distilling operation at Boston's Broadfield Lane Industrtial Estate in 2011 left five dead and one seriously injured. A lit cigarette was later revealed to be the most likely cause of the incident. Photo: Midlands

4. 2013
About 800 homes were affected by the tidal surge of 2013, from slight dampness to four feet of water. The Stump, being so close to the river, was hit hard, but this teddy bear hung on. Photo: Midlands
