Busy time at school
To kick it off the pupils took part in a sponsored Speedmark football event.
The SpeedMark for schools challenge raises money for schools and employs ex-professional footballers as coaches.

Hide AdThe children were given three chances to score into an inflatable football goal that digitally recorded their fastest shot and printed it onto a certificate for each child.
The boy and girl with the overall fastest goals were awarded a special SpeedMark Hot Shots certificate.
The other pupils in Year Five enjoyed a performance by a musical group called Quintable.
The children were later given six brass musical instrument workshops.

Hide AdPupils at the school were also treated to a visit from graffiti artist James Mayle to help them brighten up the school garden area.
James worked with the children to create stencils for the project which they used to follow a magical theme to spray paint the garden.
Acting head teacher Beth Darby said the pupils really enjoyed the day.
“They loved it. All of the pupils got involved and every child contributed by painting something,” she said.
