Gainsborough woodland saved by firefighters after nightlong blaze
Firefighter are still working to 'dampen' grassland next to Laughton woodland after a fire blazed through the night.
The service has said it is ready to leave at anytime.
The fire is believed to have started at 6,45pm yesterday evening (Thursday, June 28).
A spokesman for the service said the fire involved a "large quantity grassland and tree line."
The fire on Gainsborough Road, had several crews including Humberside, Scunthorpe and Gainsborough and others from across the county fight to put it out.
