Hykeham too strong for Blue and Whites
Boston put the brakes on free-scoring North Hykeham on Saturday, but it was not enough to wrestle victory from their high-flying visitors.
The home side were on the back foot for much of the first half, defending well in the face of their strong-running opponents.

However, the visitors were not to be denied and crossed the whitewash to take a 5-0 lead.
A John Hummel penalty, earned on a rare foray into the Hykeham 22, reduced the deficit before half time, captain Eldin’s team benefiting from the Hykeham kicker failing to find his range with the boot in the first period.
The second half saw Boston come into the game more as an attacking force, Jaz Cowern providing an ever-present threat on the wing, but the visitors were not to be denied the win, two successful penalty kicks wrapping up the victory and denying the home side a losing bonus point.
