Louth cycling quartet gear up for gruelling 150-mile ride
Chris Parker (38), Tom Booth (39), Gary Rogers (60) and Alison Ball (50) will be undertaking the task.
The C2C route, which normally takes four to five days, will start in Seascale on June 25, with the riders
setting off at 5am.

Hide AdThey hope to arrive in Whitby by 9.30pm – which means managing a 10mph pace for more than 16 hours.
Chris, who is married with two young children, lives in Legbourne. His motivation to complete the ride has been sparked by the death of his wife’s father, Peter Geeson, who had battled pancreatic cancer. Father-of- two Tom, who has lived around Louth all his life, has also lost family members to cancer.
Gary, lives in Louth with his wife and two young children, and is an ex-Inshore Mablethorpe Lifeboat crew member. He currently works as a purchasing specialist for Jacobs. Alison also lives in Louth and is a nurse at Louth County Hospital.
Rider Gary Rogers said: “We may not be indestructible youngsters anymore.

Hide Ad“But we are a determined bunch and are absolutely resolute in our drive to finish this in a day and we will be spurred on by knowing it will be for a very good cause.”
They hope to raise in excess of £500 from sponsorship for the charity.
