Marton: School pupils walk back in time by designing heritage trail
They learned about the history of buildings, jobs and traditions in Marton and designed colourful plaques that demonstrate their respect for the rich heritage of the village.
Elite Signs in Gainsborough were commissioned to produce the signs and Nick Tinker from the business invited the children to visit and see how the designs are made.

The children at the school involved the Parish Council and consulted with homeowners.
There are nine plaques positioned in a circular route around the village each with a QR code linking to further information online.
The children spoke to locals and gathered old photographs and newspaper clippings which can be found on the school local history website.
