“Sadly my grandma’s injuries were too severe for her to survive, but the service gave us 20 precious days to say goodbye,” she said.
“The air ambulance service do an amazing job locally. With so many rural areas sixteen plus miles from a hospital, it is a vital local service we need to make sure keeps flying so it can continue to save lives,” she added.
A number of schools have already signed up to take part in the ‘yellow day’. including Leverton academy in Retford and St Augustine’s junior school in Worksop.
Any other schools or nurseries who would like to participate in the campaign can contact Rachel by emailing [email protected].
