Parents go back to school for maths
As part of the maths curriculum week at school, mums and dads were invited to take part in a maths lesson, all under the watchful eye of maths co-ordinator, Michael Gouldin.
Mr Gouldin said; “It is really important that parents and carers know the methods that we use in school for carrying out four rules calculations so that they can help and not confuse the children at home.”

These included sorting with coloured sweets, data handling activities, ratio and proportion involved in cooking activities, profit margins on food products, baking and boxing muffins, working within budgets using excel spreadsheets and even making symmetrical pizzas.
There was a ‘beat the teachers’ quiz, which the teachers just won.
