VIDEO - school's EU debate seeks answers to key questions
The event last Tuesday was chaired by deputy head girl, Katie Flaherty. Guest speakers were Dr Carol Weaver, lecturer in international relations at De Montfort University and former UKIP MEP Derek Clark.
Parents, staff and students posed questions on key topics from immigration to, trade and travel to study overseas.

Hide AdDr Weaver said: “Back in 1973 (before joining the EU) we were called the sick man of Europe and under a state of austerity under the IMF.” She said uncertainty could destabilise the economy, Europe and NATO as well as affecting work on climate change.
Mr Clark said: “All your laws used to come from Parliament via your elected representatives, now they come from the European Commission, which was not elected by anyone.”
He insisted there would be the same drive for countries to trade with the UK and freedom to travel.
