Search on for worthy cause to win £1,000
Staff at the Wide Bargate branch have teamed up with the Boston Standard to find the most deserving recipient of their £1,000 Community Connection Award.
The winning cause could be anything from a soup kitchen wanting to replace its oven to a sports club in need of a new uniform.
However, it needs to meet the following criteria:

Hide Adl It should be a local charity that makes a significant impact on the local community
l It cannot be a personal or individual plight, nor a Government-funded organisation
l The award must also be for a specific project or a purpose, rather than just to cover operating costs
l The award must be stand-alone, rather than form any part of a larger contribution or bigger appeal
l Nominees must have a registered charity number.

Hide AdDonna Watton, Vodafone store manager in Boston, called for people to come forward with their worthy causes.
She said: “We’re delighted to team up with the Boston Standard to offer a Vodafone Community Connection Award in Boston.
“We’re keen to play our part as members of the local community and we know there are some really deserving causes out there, working hard to make a difference – we hope they will put themselves forward.”

The winning entry will be selected by the Standard and Vodafone store staff.
The closing date for entries is noon on March 3.
