Hide AdInsp Colin Haigh, of the coast neighbourhood policing team, said: “I would like to reassure our communities that Lincolnshire Police are working hard to prevent and detect burglary offences and several arrests have been made recently. These include four males who have been jointly charged with 26 offences, three males who have been arrested in relation to seven distraction burglaries and another male who has been arrested in relation to 19 dwelling burglary offences.”
Despite these recent arrests, Lincolnshire Police are still advising residents to secure their properties and report any suspicious activity.
Insp Haigh said: “Lack of street lighting has been blamed for the burglaries but we have seen burglaries being committed at all times of the day and I don’t want people to become complacent during daylight hours. I want to urge residents to ensure they secure their properties and outbuildings and report anything that they deem to be suspicious.”
