Worksop: Couple left ‘shocked’ after bus allegedly ‘mounts pavement’
Yvonne Levy, of Larwood, and Kenneth Clarke, of Manton, had been out in the town on Monday 11th May when the incident occurred.
The pair were trying to cross over the road on Ryton Street towards the King Edward pub when they say a Stagecoach bus drove onto the pavement and ran over Kenneth’s foot, causing him to go to hospital for an X-ray.
“It’s a good job that no children were about,” Yvonne said.

“We were both shocked.”
“It mounted the pavement a fair bit.”
“The bus never stopped and just carried on.”
“I think he should have realised that he went onto the pavement,” she added.
Kenneth went to hospital later that day and had an X-ray on his foot. No serious damage is thought to have been caused but Kenneth says that he is now walking with a limp.
“Luckily it is not broken,” Yvonne said.
The couple informed the police of the incident but were told they can’t take it any further until they know the number of the bus.
