Worksop: Local company are major part of big new energy project
This new project will have the capacity to process 300,000 tonnes of residual, non-recyclable waste.

Hide Ad“Once completed, the waste facility will provide a number of benefits including bringing landfill diversions down by 95 per cent, and generating up to 24 megawatts of renewable electricity which will be supplied to the national grid.”
“We used hot dip galvanizing on our steelwork due to its lack of maintenance requirements and long-lasting protection against rust and corrosion, helping to ensure the longevity of the buildings.”
Bourne Group and Worksop Galvanizers began work on the facility in February 2013, and are both on target to complete the work this month.
“The EfW facility, which was commissioned by Viridor Waste Management, will be fully operational by September 2014.
