Ben claims mini red tennis title
The Mini Tennis Red was well supported by Boston members.
Benjamin Rudkin, Neve Gibbons, Alice Servonat and Matilda Clark were among those who competed strongly, with Ben unbeaten as he won the event.
The Mini Tennis Orange was won by Boston Tennis Club’s William Pettitt, who played fellow club member Jacob Felipes in the final.

Hide AdPoppy Gibbons was beaten by Will in the semis but won the third-fourth play-off.
Ben Rudkin, winner of the red event, also moved up an age group to play in the orange and Leo Murray also competed.
In the 12 and under boys’ competition, Boston Tennis Club’s Robbie Townsend won the consolation competition.
In the 14 and under boys’ event, Joseph Brookes and Hayden Bingham missed out in their early matches but gained some valuable experience.

Hide AdThe ladies’ open was won by Grimsby’s Jane Hunter, who came through a close three-set final to beat Nottingham’s Katie Harris.
Several Boston men played in the open men’s singles, including Philippe Servonat, Tom Cozens, Richard Cozens, James Newton, Joseph Parla, Terry Mastin, Robert Griffiths.
The event was won by Alexandra-Vasile Vishnu-Talmaciu, who beat James Parkin in the final.
