Manager Dominic Roma has brought in teenage defender Ioan Evans and experienced midfielder Gavin Rothery to take the total number of new arrivals to Northolme this summer to nine.

“I believe playing for Trinity will give me the perfect platform to play regular football and really showcase my talents. The manager has been busy in the transfer market over the summer and I can’t wait to get in amongst the lads during pre-season and stake a claim for a starting spot come August 6.”
Rothery, meanwhile, has been at National League side Guiseley for the last six seasons and helped them preserve their status in the division in the last campaign.
The 28-year-old began his career at Leeds United where he is currently a youth team coach.

“Our supporters will certainly already be familiar with him as he has caused us no end of problems in previous seasons.
“He truly has all the attributes to excite the supporters and having him as part of our set up is definitely a feather in our cap.”
