Worksop: Westwood in danger of missing the cut after bad start to second round at The Open
The Worksop ace started the day at one-under for the tournament after a battling 71 around the Hoylake course on day one.
But a torrid front nine today saw him drop four shots with bogeys at the second and fourth holes before an ugly double-bogey six on the eighth left him three-over par for the tournament and with work to do on the back nine as he is in danger of missing the cut.

But Westwood will hope to ensure that he secures his place in the field for the weekend with a good back nine and is not left looking for favours from elsewhere.
